New horizons

Laziness is nothing more then the habit of resting before you get tired, wrote Jules Renard. I’m resting before I get tired, an indulgence which will continue until April the 3rd…

I got my first pair of glasses when I was nine years old. I still recall the shock of seeing the leaves on the trees and other details of my world so sharply defined. Everywhere I turned, new discoveries met my eyes!

For some time now, I’ve been yearning for a slower pace: the luxury of unstructured time, cooking simple meals, dressing plainly. Most of all, I long to replace my habitual focus on my computer screen with the freedom of sweeping my gaze from horizon to horizon … resting on a beloved face … taking in a lovely sight without the clock ticking away.

Hence my much-anticipated digital break, starting on the 21st of February and ending on the 2nd of April!
