Belinda Bras-Nel on having angels as colleagues, wolves, and a family of nerds

A woman with the gift of communicating with angels, animals and souls on the other side, speaks about living an unusual but very grounded life.

1 The work that you do for a living is most definitely unusual. How would you describe it?

I would describe my work as being a messenger or a microphone for Spirit. I allow Angels, Loved Ones and Guides to speak through me. I also listen to animal souls, trees and all aspects of nature to convey their message. In a way I also allow my clients’ own soul to communicate with me and show me what they need to live a fulfilled life as a whole being.

2 What is it about your work that brings you joy?

I love my work. What can be better than having angels as colleagues? When I connect with loved ones that have passed, it feels like I am in the presence of God, because they are. Giving messages from Spirit invigorates me and heals me.

3 Animals are very important to you. Which animals live with you?

I have been gifted four Timberwolves. They were truly a gift from Spirit and a part of my soul’s path, because they have shared so much wisdom with me. My wolves have guided me in deepening my relationship with nature and to also be a voice for all aspects of nature.

Odin is now 7 years old and truly one of my soul’s strongest connections. He has been diagnosed with a severe cancer and every day with him is a blessing filled with wisdom and wonder.

Akaï is the clown. He is 6 years old and the goofiest of the lot.

Akita is the only girl. She is 5 years old, a white timber wolf and a princess of note. She sleeps on the couch the whole day.

Fenrir is 4 years old and very attached. I always say that he is emotionally compromised. He follows me everywhere, sleeps on the bed, joins me in my office when I have clients and hates flies with a passion.

Furthermore, cats have always been an integral part of my life. My dad used to say that where Belinda went, cats would follow. Their souls choose me and bring me comfort and healing. At this stage I have eleven cats who live harmoniously with the wolves. I rescue as many animals as I can and I do not support any form of breeding or animal trade.

Belinda encourages us to experience life with reverence, not as a struggle. With pics of the new wolf cubs, Odin II and Olga!

Here Belinda explains how we can reframe our concept of death, to diminish our fears and make the passing of loved ones less painful.

4 Tell us about your (human) family.

I have been married for 27 years to my true love and soul mate. I met Joop at university where we were both studying engineering. My daughter, Julike, is 21 and a brilliant artist. Luc, my son, is 19 and studies Information Technology. We are a family of nerds and love science fiction movies, books and television series.

Here’s Belinda’s deeply moving account of the challenges she faced on her path from engineering (and acute depression) to being an angel whisperer.

5 How do you feel about trees?

To me trees are an integral part of the web of life and I am deeply connected to them. They are the wisdom keepers and the soul of Mother Nature. When a tree is cut down, I feel physical pain and often need to support the tree’s spirit through the trauma. Trees don’t only supply oxygen, which is the essence of life, they are also the pillars that hold the substance of life intact.

6 You love to paint. Tell us about your artwork.

I experience art as a form of meditation. When I paint, I empty my mind and forget about stress and worries. It connects me deeply to Spirit and I often paint an angel, spirit guide or animal to form a deeper connection to their essence in order to fully interpret the message they want to convey to humanity.

7 Which great surprises have you experienced in your life?

My greatest joy comes from the growth I experience as a soul, which often came through difficult situations, but has always brought me towards a more empowered and abundant way of living. The greatest surprises in my life were when the angels revealed themselves to me and when I received my first wolf, Odin, as a gift from a client.

Belinda explains how she manages and makes peace with a painful, life-long autoimmune condition, only recently diagnosed.

8 What is your wish for us human beings?

My passion is to teach people to trust their soul to know the way. I wish for every human being to be in harmony with their soul and to live a life filled with compassion, peace and joy.

Belinda tells stories from a recent pilgrimage to Ireland, aimed at reconnecting with nature and lifetimes past; another journey coming up next year.
